I like everything about the hotel. Very beautiful place the sea view was amazing. Very cosy and peaceful. The staff are so kind and gentle they even bring me a nice bouquet lily and orchid flowers, service very rapid Very excellent and good tasty yummy food the Chef is so humble, very nice person my flight was early in the morning need to leave the hotel at 4am and he even packed my breakfast so that i can have it on the flight. Thank you chef. It was sooo tasty.

Location is fantastic, lots of decent restaurants close by if you decide not to eat at the hotel, which also has a great lunchtime and evening menu. THe hotel has loads of lounge space, although the second guest lounge was not open you can use it for more private meetings.

To start with, I think this is the best you will get in Maputo. We had dinner at Polana Serena one evening and we were very happy that we decided to stay at Southern Sun, based on the food quality. Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful with a great view (especially if you have a room on the 4th floor) and he food was good (especially the breakfast). It was an overall pleasant experience.

Property on the beach with beautiful rooms and views. Hotel is nicely located and within a short distance from the mall and casino. Served good food and exceptional breakfast. Great for families

The location of the hotel and the view from the restaurant ensures a special experience. May/June is also a great time of the year to go to Maputo. The wind was not disturbing at all.

After 10 days in Xai-Xai at our more basic lodge, arriving at the hotel felt like a truly luxurious experience! It really is a nice property, with a great location on the seafront. Our room had a lovely terrace with ocean views and was well appointed. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was tasty with generous portions. The breakfast buffet was also very nice with lots of choice. We wished we could've stayed more than one night to explore Maputo a bit more.

Right on the beach. Good security. Buffet dinner was excellent, lots of choice. Room was perfect, lots of space. Great bar service. Everyone was very polite. Some ladies appeared in the bar, of er, dubious 'working' arrangements. But they were friendly enough to chat to and I politely declined their suggestions.
